P10P update

Just thought i would update you on a few products I've finished. I'm already one down on a makeup product (with 4 products trailing behind) and two body products down! Woop! First the body products...

Boots extracts mango body butter - 200mls
Finished yay! I loved the yummy smell of sweet mangoes, but it is quite sweet so if you don't like sickly smells this isn't for you. I got this for Christmas with the body scrub and as it started finishing i stopped using it (quite a common thing that i do) It was quite a thick cream that sank in well. I love that its Fairtrade and organic, and you can get every single bit out of the tub: i normally end up snipping the squeezy tubes to get the extra cream out. I don't think id purchase this again though as other creams leave my skin hydrated for longer.

Maybelline Dream Sunglow Instant Shimmer make-up - 125mls

This is my ultimate favourite product to use on a night out. I use it on my legs, arms, back and chest but not so much the face anymore, as sometimes it comes out patchy. It comes out very dark so i would use a little with a mitt and build up. It is so SHIMMERY but leaves my skin looking golden and tanned. I love that it is a wash off but stays on all night and i can still see glitter on my skin even with a scrub in the shower the next day. I like the bronze packaging with the turquoise lid. It is discontinued now but thankfully i found one in the market last year so i have a back up, and Sophia's given me a different one to try, but i honestly won't be able to love a body shimmer like this one, I've even snipped the top off and put the remainder in a travel pot - its AMAZING how much is left around the tube - it almost filled up the pot!

And finally the makeup product:

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara Double Effet
My favourite mascara that I've gone on and on in previous posts. It started to run out and even though i have another i started using a different mascara. I finally finished it last week and now I've started the second tube. I actually liked the mascara more when it was running out as it didn't clump as much. However, when its done i won't be repurchasing and ill be using the other mascaras because its a shame that they are going to go waste, so ill use this very sparingly.

Lesley on September favourites

Although it was my birthday, this month has been such a hard one. A close member of the family suddenly passed away. Apart from running around like a headless chicken, i haven't really had time to post my favourites, alas, why I'm posting my September favourites now!

No7 Highlights Illuminating Lotion - 30mls

Ive had this for years (probably should buy a new one now!) but it seems to be going in my box then coming out again. This month i have loved using it with my tinted moisturiser, it gives me a bright, dewy look without being sparkly, even when I'm really tired. It is pearly baby pink with hints of silver. I've used this quite a lot and it still looks brand new to me. The pump application makes it easy to use and i only have to use a pea size for my whole face. I also like to use it on the brow bone and on cheeks. I got it for a present a couple years ago and I'm not actually sure if its still in the shops.

PFB Vanish - 120mls, £14.99

Sophia recommended that i bought this as i had awful bumps, redness and ingrown hairs with shaving and epilating. Apart from the awful alcoholic smell that this produces when you roll it on your skin - this stuff is actually amazing! I wouldn't say that all the redness and ingrown hairs disappear, but it definitely makes a difference and also doesn't itch as much. I love that it is a roll on - i don't waste any of it. I put it on at night (because of the smell) and sometimes but not always, it will sting a little on the first 24 hours i put it on after I've shaved.

You can use it on your face, underarms, bikini line or legs and apply after any type of hair removal including electrolysis.

I bought it from Ebay and it also came with a tiny mini version, which my brother burrowed once and i haven't seen since! I would put a picture up of before and after, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to see the grotesquety! I would highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from bad irritation from hair removal.

Bio Oil and Eucerin

Since getting my tattoo and having to keep it moisturised twice a day, I reached for Bio Oil and Eurcin for their rich moisture. I mixed it into a travel pot which is so handy for on the go (imagine having to take two bottles around with you!) Also, it hydrated my skin for at least six hours in between top ups.

In case you didn't know - Bio Oil is to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, scars and uneven skin tone. I use this to enhance the appearance.

Eucerin is for the treatment of dry, itchy, flaky skin and conditions such as eczema, icythosis, hyperkeratosis and xeroderma. No prizes for guessing why i use this :)

The ink has kept really well and healed so fast with minimum itching and no dryness what-so-ever. I still use this once everyday to keep the ink from fading. It is recommended that you don't have a bath or swim for at least five weeks to keep the ink from fading.

Aquafresh Ultimate + Whitening toothpaste
Source: google - i had already cut open and binned mine!

A bit of a different product from the norm, but i have been loving this toothpaste this month so much and so has my family - we've been through 2 tubes already in a couple months! It sounds weird, but it makes my teeth feel really fresh and clean. I know all toothpastes are meant to do that, but sometimes i clean my teeth and a couple hours later i feel the need to clean them again. However, i don't really believe in whitening toothpastes, but it kept my teeth feeling nice.

It claims "it strengthens the tooth above the gum line and protects what's vulnerable below by killing bacteria to help keep the gum seal tight and healthy."

Lesley on Birthday surprises galore

I am slightly behind on this post... sorry! A few weeks ago it was my 24th birthday and i celebrated with a few drinks the night before and a relaxing, chilled out day on my actual birthday. I also received some beautiful gifts from family and friends. In particular i would like to show you my makeup gifts (of course) and some very thoughtful ones that made me smile.

me and Sophia

Illamasqua Pure Pigment Lose Eye Pigment in Ore - 1.3g

I've never had Illamasqua makeup before and was delighted when Sophia bought me this. I was complaining to her that i don't have a good golden eyeshadow, not knowing she had this baby waiting for me! Ore is a metallic bronze/dark gold with  green/pink/gold glitter. When i swatch it i think the colours look amazing (the swatches below does not give it justice as i couldn't catch the reflective sheen) I love that it has multiple purposes, you can use it for highlighting brows, wet or dry eyeshadow or mixed with other eyeshadows, or mix with.

Didn't need to use three pictures, but wanted to try and capture the glitter

I absolutely love what it says on the box-

"Art of Darkness invites you to enter a world where seeing is believing, and believing can be dangerous. where mythical beings gather to feast, fantasise and create the ever-elusive Elixir of Life. So indulge your extravagant side and revel in the otherworldliness of night time makeup."

Source: Illamasqua site
Not really anything to do with makeup until the last sentence, but i love how the Illamasqua team take makeup to the next level. We are all aware how their new collection "Theatre of the Nameless" is completely amazing as well as their previous collections.

As i am a sucker for beautiful packaging, I'm completely drawn to the light and dark emerald green with the green scarab beetle, which fits into the "Arts of darkness" theme and i will never throw this away! I also love the square packaging but i think they have made an error because to open it you have to put ur finger under an edge and flick it up. Also at first i didn't like the plastic that held the pigment in, but once the pigment is out it looks fine (i am sooo picky!)

Accesorize Baked Bronzing duo Laguna Shade 3

I love this bronzer so much! I've been eyeing it up for ages and almost bought it a few days before, so I'm so glad i didn't. I love that it is quite versatile, the left bronzey gold would be great for during the day and the right is a rusty gold and will be great for nights out. Mixed together... I love the pearly shimmer running through it too.

my sister dropped and broke my GOSH after only using it a handful of times (thanks sis!)

MAC Phloof! pro palette eyeshadow

I love how my friends know me so well! I wanted a highlighter for my brows and inner corners of my eyes  but ... was OK but a little on the pink side. Phloof! is a gorgeous off white, really light pink frost colour. This is going to quickly become a staple in my collection. Only one more e/s before my collection is complete (although i might get rid of Gesso, it cracked, but recently I've found I've been using it to highlight too) Also i will sweep it over my entire lid for a nice natural sheen for during the day.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle - 10g

Another well desired product! It reminds me of a soft highlighter but when built up a nice velvety bronzer.

Britney Spears Fantasy Eau De Parfum- 30mls

This has been my favourite scent for years and years now and of course my friends are used to smelling the sweet cupcake scent of Britney Spears. I love really sweet smells and opposed to citrus and musky. I was onto my last bottle so was using it wisely, but now i don't have to as i have a backup. It has top notes of red lychee, quince and kiwi, heart notes of white chocolate, jasmine and orchard, and base notes of musk and sensual woods. Some people might think the bottle is tacky but i personally think the pinky/purple bottle with the green Swarovski crystals is so cute.

Lesley on face wipes

So i have this thing for trying out different wipes. Also my sister uses different ones so it gives me a chance to experiment with all kinds to see which takes off my makeup the best and suits my skin.

clockwise: Boots cleansing wipes, No7 quick thinking 4 in 1, Derma 3 in 1, Nivea Daily essentials and Lloyds pharmacy pure essentials facial cleansing wipes.

Boots Cleansing Wipes for all skin types  -25 wipes: Contains cucumber, Aloe Vera, vitamin E and is dermatologically tested. Smells slightly of cucumbers but not overpowering. It contains the right amount of moisture for my skin. I like using this for day to day makeup, these are the wipes i go to the most, although it doesn't quite take off all my mascara. Also they keep their moisture even though they have the self-adhesive label. I buy them in bulk as i use them everyday only when they are on offer with 3 for £3, they are normally £2.03. You can also get them for sensitive skin which is in a blue packet.

No7 Quick thinking 4 in 1 wipes for all skin types -30 wipes: Contains vitamin pro B5. The 4 in 1 is to cleanse, tone, remove and moisturise and is hypo-allergenic. I love these for after a night out when i can't be bothered to cleanse and tone. These do not leave my skin feeling oily, which Sophia commented that they do for her. They smell a bit sweet and resembled the Boots. I love that it has a lid but doesn't 'pop' shut . They are normally £7 but i bought them with my £5 voucher.

Derma 3 in 1 fragrance free facial wipes for all skin types -25 wipes: These wipes are dermatologically tested, fragrance free and soap and alcohol free, which is great as it doesn't dry out my skin. Other than that, i haven't got much to say about it. I bought it from Tesco for 74p when i ran out of my Boots. I would take them to the gym or when i am staying around a friends house.

Lloyds pharmacy pure essentials facial cleansing wipes -25 wipes: Contains vitamin E and aloe vera and has no artificial colours or fragrances. These wipes have so much moisture that they kinda remind me of moist toilet tissue (nice!) It does leave my skin feeling refreshed just like if I've put cold water on my face and leaves my face soft but a dry on my T-zone and i reach for the moisturiser, so it doesn't agree with my skin type. They are £1.99.
Nivea Visage daily essentials gentle facial cleansing wipes for dry and sensitive skin -25 wipes: Contains almond oil, calendula extract and is alcohol free. I dislike these wipes the most. They have little moisture and i find myself scrubbing to get my makeup off. They are the nicest smelling wipes though. I bought them when they were on offer for £1 each from Tesco, normally £2.99. I think i must have bought around 5 or 6 at the time and I'm on my last packet. They are also available in normal and combination skin.
